Saint Abdullah is de moniker van de in New York residerende Iraanse, in Canada opgegroeide broers Mohammad en Mehdi Mehrabani-Yeganeh (IR/CA/VS). Hun motto: “We exist to test the revolutionary possibilities within sound and sonic storytelling, as a means to finding a vision of the future and for building cultural dialogue today.”  

Dit leidde reeds tot intrigerende muzikale collages als Patience of a Traitor uit 2021 (op Nicolás Jaars label Other People) en Chasing Stateless (op Mike Paradinas’ label Planet Mu). Samenwerken deden ze reeds met Armand Hammer (Billy Woods x E L U C I D) en Moor Mother.  

Sinds enkele jaren hebben ze een organisch verbond met drummer/percussionist Jason Nazary (VS), eertijds ½ van Anteloper (zijn duo met de betreurde jaimie Branch) en tevens lid van jazz/rap ensemble WRENS (ook present op BRDCST). 

Dat verbond leverde reeds twee albums op: Evicted in the Morning (2023) en recent nog Wiretaps for Oral (2025), door henzelf omschreven als “a Freedom Now Suite for a new era of anti-war marches and state oppression”. Een duidelijke knipoog naar het politiek geladen album van jazzdrummer Max Roach uit 1960: We Insist! Freedom Now Suite.
