Nearly every phase in the musical career of Antwerp-based multidisciplinary artist Youniss Ahamad has brought a shift in sound. From his self-titled debut in 2020, filled with cerebral dance, Youniss moved towards post-punk, hip hop, and noise on White Space (2023).
In spring 2026, he released his album Good Effort!, marking yet another shift in sound—this time towards jazz, or as he describes it himself: somewhere between the To Pimp A Butterfly era of Kendrick Lamar, Flying Lotus, and Slauson Malone. He presented the album at BRDCST.
