Ode to our BRDCST visitors …

In recent years, BRDCST has received a great deal of international recognition. What is striking is that the most recent praise has consistently referred to our audience. That means you! BRDCST curator Ichiko Aoba (JP): “Playing BRDCST in 2023 was a fantastic experience thanks to the eclectic lineup and the forward-thinking audience that attended.” CRACK Magazine (UK) echoed this sentiment: “BRDCST stands out thanks to the breadth of its programming and the curiosity of its audience - one of the most genuinely open-minded around.” In short: without an eager audience - you! - there would be no BRDCST!

We are delighted to be whetting that musical appetite again this year. We are (once again) handing over (part of) the programming to three inspiring guest curators - Ichiko Aoba, Sunn O)))-chief Stephen O’Malley and Keeley Forsyth – who will give their respective coups de cœurs a well-deserved platform.

We are also opening two brand new intimate venues in avant-première: AB Salon and AB Antenna. And a stone's throw from AB - in Brussels' Dansaert district - we enter the VanhaerentsArtCollection, home to an impressive contemporary art collection. There, among the works of Tracy Emin and Elen Braga, you can enjoy Joy Guidry and Maalem Houssam Guinia, among others.

Finally, our musical compass this year was the downright insane debut of the Bolivian/American duo Los Thuthanaka. Not even available on streaming platforms, but named Album of the Year by Pitchfork. You can hear that musical madness echoing in Gezan, Nihiloxica, Xiu Xiu, in the (quiet) radical art of Einstürzende Neubauten, in (black metal-inspired) acts such as Lord Spikeheart and Lankum offshoot One Leg One Eye, as well as in DJ Haram, who considers her latest album a response to ‘the present global hellscape’.

BRDCST is all yours!
