BRDCST artists pick their top 3 personal favourites from the lineup

One of the best things about a festival lineup is seeing it through the eyes of the artists themselves.

So we asked a selection of BRDCST artists to share their top 3 personal favourites from elsewhere on the bill. These are some of the acts BRDCST artists themselves are most excited to catch.

Xiu Xiu (Angela Seo)
“Ooh hard one you guys have so many good acts! If I had to pick just three ...”

1. Einstürzende Neubauten
“Because, legends.”

2. Maalem Houssam Guinia
“There's something transcendental about music and craft that's passed on through generations. Maalem Mahmoud Gania’s – his father – Colours of the Night struck me deep when I first listened to it, and it's incredible to see the music continue to shift and transform through generations through Dead of Night. Excited to see this live. Also I like lutes.”

3. Joy Guidry
“I've really enjoyed listening to the scope of expression and instrumentation in her releases that continuously explore the sonic world. I'm curious to see how she brings that curiosity and energy to the live stage.”

Ultan O’Brien
“I don't think there's anything in this line up I would not like to see. But here's 3 things I'm excited about:”

1. GEZAN
“I've only ever heard them online; what a chance to see their beautiful madness live and close-ish to home.”

2. Klinck Trio
“I'm a fan of Elizabeth Klinck's fiddle playing and album Chronotopia. I'd love to hear what the trio will do.”

3. Berlinde Deman
“A midnight concert by Berlinde Deman on the 16th century serpent. Yes, of course I'll be there.”

claire rousay

1. Julia Eckhardt
“I am excited for Julia Eckhardt especially after hearing the album Blanca on the Another Timbre label.”

2. DJ Haram
“If i can manage to stay up via drinking 10.000 Club Mates.”

3. Richard Youngs
“I am sure he will do something that resonates with me.”

Feeo

1. Xiu Xiu x Eraserhead
“2 classics that I’ve never seen.”

2. The Bug x Ghost Dubs
“In need of a quaking sonic experience.”

3. Maalem Houssam Guinia
“I love gnawa music - the melodic, rhythmic and textural subtleties are unparalleled imo.”

james K

1. Einstürzende Neubauten
2. Saint Abdullah & Jason Nazary
3. Olan Monk

Enough said.

dumama
“It is such a pleasure to be part of the lineup this year. I really wish I could stay for the full duration, but since I’ll be there for the Friday, I’ve been looking closely at the artists sharing the stages with me that night. Here are the three acts I’m most looking forward to:”

1. Carme López

“Her folk-experimental and meditative drone work sounds incredibly inviting. It deeply resonates with my own approach to sound—that specific way of using traditional or folk elements to build immersive, lingering textures.”

2. Nakhane
“As a fellow South African, it’s always a joy and a point of pride to see other South African experimental folks on these stages. Their voice and presence are so vast and rich.”

3. Kukuruz Quartet plays Julius Eastman
“Eastman’s work as a composer has been profoundly important to me. His legacy of radical, repetitive, and emotionally charged minimalism is something I find endlessly inspiring. Very curious to hear Kukuruz’ interpretation of his work.”

Fenne Kuppens

1. Ichiko Aoba
“I’m ready to step fully into her world, close my eyes and just sway to her soothing and fragile sounds. Please, don’t disturb!”

2. claire rousay
“A Little Death was one of my favorite albums of last year, but I’m maybe even more intrigued to see The Bloody Lady. Everything I’ve heard suggests it’s something really special.”

3. feeo
“There are only a few artists you instantly know will stay with you from the very first listen. feeo was one of those rare discoveries for me. Fresh and hauntingly beautiful. Very curious to see how it translates on stage.”

Kevin Martin (The Bug)

1. feeo
“Goodness was one of my favourite albums of 2025 ... feeo has a fantastically intimate, soulful voice, and her music is experimental and unpredictable in all the best ways ... Mysterious, and asks more questions than it answers, which suits me fine ... Looking fwd.”

2. One Leg One Eye
“Love the fact that Ian Lynch goes even deeper into the Celtic Gothic zone on his Lankum offshoot project One Leg One Eye. Sounding strangely, simultaneously both ancient and futuristic, the music is absolutely bewitching that this duo create. Traditional Irish melodies meet electronic drone radiates a singular haunting atmosphere, they were fantastic when i saw them play AB a couple of years ago … Mesmeric.”

3. Rainy Miller
“Joseph, What Have You Done? was also one of my favourite albums from 2025. An emotive transmission of Lancashire Gothic, I am very intrigued to check how Miller will translate it into a live show. Melancholy melodies and sentiments, outsider poetry and frozen Drill beats collide seductively, as echoes of King Krule and Kanye West swirl around my head. Very fresh.”

Lander Gyselinck (KVR)
“Here’s a selection of artists I’m following and am looking forward to seeing live.”
