“Wonderful side-project from STUFF. and Jameszoo” (De Standaard), for fans of Thundercat, Hudson Mohawke & The Comet Is Coming
KVR (BE/NL) – a nod to the ‘amateur artist compensation’, a system for compensating small-scale artistic services – is the talented triumvirate of STUFF. members Lander Gyselinck (drums) and Dries Laheye (bass), together with Jameszoo keyboard-man Niels Broos. Their playful debut Spam Vol.1 (2023) has created “a mix of electronica, grooves and crunchy drums”, according to De Standaard in a **** review.
The spring of 2026 will see the release of its successor, Spam Vol.2, again with wonderfully short and tongue-in-cheek song titles like Bleit, Tankje and Hey. Fans of Thundercat, Hudson Mohawke, The Comet Is Coming and Jameszoo will enjoy this even more than ever.
Fine feat: Lander Gyselinck can safely call April 2026 his AB month. As well as his essential presence with KVR during BRDCST, on Wednesday 22 April, he will also present the brand new album by Ragini Trio (with Black Flower frontman Nathan Daems and Italian contrabassist Marco Bardoscia) – which explores the space between jazz and Indian classical music. Then, on Tuesday, 28 April, he will present the dance performance Figures of Speech, co-created with his sister Femke Gyselinck.
